A "virtual series" usually refers to a collaborative scripted fan series, which is what category Foundations falls under.
Home to several scripted "virtual" Star Trek series, including Star Trek: Frontiers, Star Trek: Knight's Haven, Star Trek: Renaissance, Star Trek: Star's End, and a few other single-authored feature series. It also has a fairly decent public messageboard in which to discuss its hosted series.
